1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how pitchd. (“we”) handles the personal data of visitors and account holders when they use pitchd.space. “Personal data” means anything that identifies you, such as your name, email address, or the pitches and comments you publish under your display name.

2. What we collect

When you create an account, we store the email address, a display name you choose, and the authentication details required to sign you in. When you post a pitch, comment, or react, we store that content together with your account. We also collect basic technical information (IP address, browser, language, date and time of a visit) to operate the service, keep it secure, and defend against abuse and spam.

3. What is public

Pitches that are approved are shown publicly: pitch text, the founder's display name, links, demo material, and the category on the public board. Comments and reactions attached to a pitch are public too. Anyone can read a public pitch without an account. Anything you do not want public, do not put into a pitch. Content an admin rejects or removes is not public.

4. Why we use your data

We use your data to run the service: authenticate you, show you your dashboard, display public pitches, moderate content, answer support questions, counter spam and abuse, and improve the product. We never sell personal data, and we never use pitch content to train models or build ads profiles.

5. Who we share data with

We limit sharing to the infrastructure the service runs on: the hosting provider (Vercel), the database and authentication provider (Supabase), and standard email delivery if we add transactional mail. These are processors and only handle data to deliver the service. We may disclose data if required by law, or to enforce our Terms of Service, moderation rules, or to protect the safety of any person.

6. How long we keep it

Account data stays with us while your account exists. Pitches and comments remain live until removed by you, by moderation, or by the review process. When you close your account or we suspend it, we keep only what law requires and what is needed to operate (such as logs needed for abuse investigations), then delete the rest.

7. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and similar laws)

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Ask us at [email protected] and we'll answer within the period the law requires; the dashboard lets you manage most of the same things directly.

8. Children and minors

pitchd. is intended for people old enough to contract under their local law (at least 16 in the EU, 18 otherwise where applicable). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Cookies and tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies and storage needed to keep you signed in and keep the site secure. We do not run third-party advertising trackers or cookie banners leaving to external networks. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

10. Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, flag it on the board and/or through your account. Questions or requests: email [email protected] and we will get back to you.
